Hillingdon House, Harlow

Specialist Subsidence Remediation and Stone Restoration

We recently completed a comprehensive structural restoration of a private school in Harlow, addressing complex subsidence through a multi-phase engineering approach. The project required extensive internal and external propping to secure the building while critical works were performed.

A key highlight of the restoration was the removal of failing masonry and old stone steps, replaced with premium Ketton stone to match the building's heritage. Our team managed the full lifecycle of the repair, including:

  • Substructure: Completed new foundation and concrete works to support the stone steps.

  • Infrastructure: Conducted deep-level investigation and drainage remediation.

  • Finishing: Reinstatement of traditional pebble dash render and precision grouting.

The result is a structurally reinforced facility that seamlessly blends modern stability with traditional aesthetic appeal.
